and we’re Wedding Videographers

Also known as Cinematographers, Filmmakers, Filmophiles, etc… We’re based out of the Calgary area and we love telling stories. Whether its through photo or videos, looking through the lens has always been a passion of ours and its something that we love sharing with others.

Michael’s the guy who started this whole thing. Cinematographer, Photographer, Editor, Website Designer, Marketing, and on and on. When he’s not working on our edits or filming our awesome couples, he’s behind his desk looking at data and marketing analytics.

As Red Finch Studios’ Supporting Videographer, Cardin specializes in capturing the candid, fleeting moments that make each wedding unique. With a keen eye for composition and a passion for storytelling, he work’s alongside Michael to ensure no detail or emotion is missed. Inspired by movie directors like Wes Anderson and Wong Kar-wai, he strive’s for perfectionism in both visual and narrative composition. His approach is all about blending into the background to catch those unscripted, genuine expressions and interactions, creating a comprehensive and dynamic visual narrative of the day. It’s his mission to deliver a vivid, emotional record of our clients’ most cherished moments, contributing to the lasting legacy of love stories we’re honored to document.

Togther, Michael & Cardin make up the main team here at Red Finch Studios. In their off-time, they watch a LOT of movies (recent favorites include Everything Everywhere All At Once, Jojo Rabbit, Parasite, & Marriage Story). When they’re not watching and discussing movies or their love of photography, they’re having beers on the patio at Cold Garden, eating pizza at Noble Pie, or just going on Photo Walks
